3. Assessment & Transition

Following your visit, we’ll work closely with you and your child’s local authority or referring professional to understand their individual needs. This may include reviewing existing reports, meeting your child and planning a personalised transition that helps them feel confident and supported from their very first day.

4. Your Child Joins Us

Every student is welcomed into a supportive environment where they are encouraged to settle at their own pace. From day one, they’ll be introduced to their personal mentor, receive a personalised timetable and begin working towards their Personalised Support Plan (PSP). Regular reviews ensure support continues to evolve as they grow.

You can apply by contacting our admissions team. Our team will guide you through the application process and answer any questions you may have.

We support students with a variety of special educational needs, including (but not limited to): ASD, Asperger’s, ADHD, Global Developmental Delay, PTSD, Dyslexia, and Dyscalculia.. Our tailored curriculum and therapeutic support are designed to meet each student’s unique needs.

Most of our students have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). If you’re unsure whether The Write Time is the right setting for your child or would like to discuss your circumstances, please get in touch and we’ll be happy to advise.

Students work towards a range of nationally recognised qualifications, including GCSEs, vocational qualifications and Arts Awards, depending on their individual abilities, interests and future aspirations. Find out more on our Education page.

We provide a range of therapies including Art Therapy, Music Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy (SaLT), and Feldenkrais Movement Specialist. These are tailored to each student’s needs as identified in their support plans or EHCPs.

We work closely with parents and carers to create personalised support plans (PSPs) that reflect each student’s individual needs, strengths and goals. We maintain an open-door policy and encourage regular communication between home and school. Parents are also invited to parents’ evenings and monthly coffee mornings, providing opportunities to connect with the school, discuss their child’s progress and explore topics relating to SEN and Choice Theory.

Absolutely. We encourage parents, carers, local authorities and other professionals to visit The Write Time to experience our school, meet our team and discuss whether we’re the right fit for your child. Please get in touch to arrange a visit at a convenient time.

We welcome referrals from local authorities across London and the surrounding areas. If you’re unsure whether we work with your local authority, please contact us and we’ll be happy to discuss your child’s circumstances and the admissions process.

Yes, we offer career guidance and work experience placements to prepare students for further education, apprenticeships, and future employment. Our mentoring programme is MATRIX-accredited to ensure quality support.

While we do not directly provide transport, we offer guidance and support to help families make suitable travel arrangements for their children.

If you have home-to-school transport in place as part of their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) this is arranged by the student’s local authority.
